Welcome to a little slice of history in the wild and beautiful Rocky Mountains! Dating back to the 1930's, Jacobson's Scenic View Cottages (as it was known back then) was originally owned and operated by the Jacobson family from Norway. In 1964, the motel was purchased by John and Thelma King, school teachers from the nearby town of Cut Bank, who were seeking a summer vocation. The Kings ran the motel every summer, raising a family along the way, eventually passing the property to their daughter, Suzanne, and her husband, Jeff, who have lovingly cared for the little cottages for the last 20 years.
In January of 2020, Erik and I were lucky enough to be chosen to carry on the wonderful traditions of summers in East Glacier. We hope to continue welcoming visitors from far and wide to our most beautiful corner of the world and providing a taste of small-town hospitality.
